Armed bandit robs bottle shop

Armed robbery at Mt Lawley bottle shop

Police are hunting a man who held up a Mount Lawley bottle shop with a tyre iron earlier this month.

Police have released CCTV vision of a hooded man they want to speak to over the June 15 robbery at Liquorland on Beaufort Street.

The man told a customer to get down on the ground and held the tyre iron in a threatening manner while he demanded staff to give him cash.

Staff complied with the man’s demands before he fled with cash at about 3.50pm.

The man is described as being fair-skinned, in his mid 30s, of medium height and build with a thick dark beard and acne scars.

He wore a black hooded jumper which was pulled over his head.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
