New charges for serial paedophile

Serial paedophile Dennis McKenna is facing fresh child abuse charges stemming from his time in charge of the Katanning Hostel.

McKenna was charged with two additional offences following what police said was a long-running and exhaustive investigation into the 69-year-old’s time as warden of the hostel between 1976 and 1988.

McKenna is serving nine years in prison for abusing 17 boarders at the hostel during that period.

He is due to appear in Katanning Magistrates Court on July 15.
