Motorcyclist killed in car crash

A man was fatally injured last night when his motorcycle was hit by a car in Sorrento during peak hour.

The man was travelling north on Marmion Avenue about 6.15pm when his motorbike was struck prior to the Hepburn Avenue intersection.

He was transported via ambulance to Joondalup Health Campus but died a short time later.

Major Crash officers are investigating.

Meanwhile a female pedestrian in her mid-forties suffered multiple injuries when she was hit by a Nissan Maxima in North Perth last night.

The woman reportedly ran into oncoming traffic on Charles Street, near the Vincent Street intersection, just before 8pm.

The male driver of the Nissan had no time to react.

The woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where she was in a serious but stable condition.
