Man charged with fondling boy

Police have charged a 29-year-old man after he allegedly fondled a teenage boy shopping with his mother at Westfield Carousel.

The boy’s mother was distracted when the man allegedly approached them on February 22 and ran his hand down the front of the 13-year-old’s body.

Police released a CCTV image of a man on Wednesday and fielded a number of calls from the public.

A Cannington man has since been charged with indecent dealing of a child over 13 years and under 16 years of age.

He will appear in court at a later date.
