Police have released an image of a man who allegedly touched a young boy shopping with his mother at Westfield Carousel.

Police say the mother was distracted when the man approached and ran his hand down the front of the 13-year-old boy's body. The man kept on walking and glanced back to look at the teenager.

The incident happened about 3.30pm on Saturday, February 22.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers and quote reference number 7047.
