Man in hospital after cliff rescue

A man was taken to hospital after a cliff rescue in York this afternoon.

Details surrounding the incident - which occurred near the Steere Road Lookout, near the intersection of Panmure Road - are not yet known.

The RAC Rescue helicopter was called out to help the man before 3pm.

York Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services firefighters and York Volunteer Emergency Services worked with St John Ambulance and police officers to help the man, who was flown to Royal Perth Hospital.

A bus crashed off a bridge and into the Moyka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Friday, May 10, with local police saying around 20 people were on board.Local media reported that at least five people died, with four “seriously injured”.
