Three charged over busker attack

Three people, including two young boys, have been charged over a series of attacks on a busker in the Murray Street Mall.

Mirrabooka detectives allege that the trio assaulted a 48-year-old street performer and his 44-year-old friend on March 15. They sustained minor injuries in the alleged attack.

Police have charged a 28-year-old Victoria Park man with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, robbery and common assault. He has also been charged in relation to a robbery at a liquor store in Inglewood and assaults on two staff members at a Bedford fish and chip shop on the same day. He will face the Perth Magistrates Court today.

A 13-year-old boy, from Embleton, has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. He will appear in the Perth Children's Court on April 15.

A 14-year-old boy, from Cloverdale, will appear in the Perth Children's Court today charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
