Terrifying video of teens’ alleged break-in
Terrifying new video has captured the moment three teens allegedly broke into a remote motel room before being confronted by the sleeping occupants.
The footage, obtained by 2GB, shows the group allegedly breaking down the door to the Moree motel in NSW’s north as a female inside screams in terror.
One of the group is heard shouting “key’s now” to the sleeping pair, before rifling through a woman’s handbag which they allegedly flee with back outside.
In a statement, police alleged three males forced their way into a home on Edward St shortly after 1am on January 3, before stealing a Mitsubishi Triton ute.
A short time later, the group allegedly broke into two rooms at the motel on Boggabilla Rd armed with a knife, before fleeing in a stolen Holden Commodore.
Police said no one was injured during the terrifying alleged crime spree, with the Triton, stolen from the home, located by officers later that same evening.
Following an investigation, officers arrested two boys – aged 15 – at a home in Moree and charged them with a string of serious theft-related offences.
A third boy, also aged 15, was arrested at Wyong police station, and charged with the same offences.
The trio fronted children’s court last month.
