Teens lead police on high speed chase in allegedly stolen car through Sydney's south-east

A 13-year-old was one of four arrested following a high-speed police chase in an allegedly stolen car through Sydney’s south-east.

NSW Police said about 2.30am Sunday officers noticed a Ford Fairmont travelling on Anzac Parade, La Perouse, which had allegedly been stolen less than two hours prior during a break and enter at a Tregear home.

The Daily Telegraph reported up to 25 police cars were involved in the pursuit after the car failed to stop.

The pursuit ended up in Botany Bay National Park, where the car crashed into a locked gate and a police car.

Police allege the Ford was driven at low speed along Bunnerong Road to Gardeners Road before it was stopped on Coward Street in Mascot.

Four teenagers aged between 13 and 18 were arrested at the scene.

Two of the teenagers were taken to Maroubra Police Station for questioning while two others were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Inquiries are continuing.
