Teen fights for life after being struck by ute
Three school students have been rushed to hospital after they were allegedly struck by a vehicle in Melbourne’s southeast.
A black Mitsubishi Triton ute allegedly collided with the teenager shortly after 3pm on O’Sullivan Rd in Glen Waverley.
A 44-year-old Springvale man, who is believed to be the driver, stopped the ute nearby and is now assisting Victoria Police with their inquiries.
Police are still looking for the ute passenger who is believed to have left the scene.
A teenage girl suffered upper and lower body injuries, and was taken to The Royal Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
One of the two teenage boys injured was taken in a serious but stable condition to The Alfred Hospital with upper and lower body injuries.
The second male suffered minor upper body injuries and was taken to Box Hill Hospital in a stable condition.
