Teens targeted in fatal hit-and-run: cops
Homicide detectives are investigating whether a suspected hit-and-run that killed a teenage boy was deliberate.
Emergency services were called to Chichester Dr, Taylors Lakes about 6.55pm on Monday after a teenage boy was found injured in the street.
The 16-year-old Keilor Downs boy was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Two other boys, a 16-year-old from Melton and 15-year-old from Keilor Downs, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the boys may have been targeted and deliberately struck by a car, which fled the scene.
Homicide Squad detectives, along with the Major Collision Investigation Unit, are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
