Teacher, 49, 'sent explicit photos and texts to 15-year-old student'

Disturbing allegations have been emerged about a 49-year-old teacher's inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student.

Helen Page, a business teacher at the Aldine Ninth Grade School in Texas, has been accused of having a relationship with a former student who was 15 years old.

Investigators allege Page was communicating with the student last summer, US news outlet KPRC-TV reported.

Forensic investigation of Page's mobile phone found nude pictures on the device, which resulted in her being charged with "improper relationship with a student".

Page sent naked photos of herself to the teenager and spoke about performing sex acts with him, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Houston Chronicle.

The Aldine Independent School District (Aldine ISD) issued a statement saying it had been informed the former staff member, Page, had been in an "improper" relationship with the student.

"This allegation was investigated by the district in January of 2021," the statement said, according to KPRC-TV.

"The staff member was immediately removed from the school when the investigation began and resigned from the district on February 5, 2021."

The school district began investigating the relationship in November last year, ABC13 reported.

The statement goes on to say the district turned over the investigation to Aldine Police Department and charges were filed.

Aldine ISD also said it did "not condone nor tolerate any employee who engages in inappropriate behaviour", adding the safety of students is "paramount".

A witness says they were contacted by Page through text message, where the former teacher admitted she was in a relationship with a student and he had told his parents, ABC13 reported.

Text messages from Page to the witness also reportedly said the two "loved" each other.

The witness spoke with investigators on January 2 this year and investigators spoke with Page that same day.

Citing documents, ABC13 reported Page told investigators the ordeal was a "huge mistake" and she "didn't mean to do it".

Acknowledging the relationship, she also said she and the former student would communicate through Snapchat, Instagram, emails, mobile phone calls and text messages.

However, Page denies having physical or sexual contact with the student, KPRC-TV reported.

She is out on bail but is due to appear back in court later in April.
