Police searching for tattooed man after attempt to lure 12-year-old girl with lolly


A man has tried to lure a 12-year-old girl walking home with a lolly.

Police are investigating after the girl was approached on Arthurs Creek Road at Hurstbridge, 30km northeast of Melbourne, about 4pm on Tuesday.

When the man offered the girl the sweet, she refused and ran away from him.

Police said she told a parent about the incident after she got away from the man and it was reported to police immediately.

Officers said they would like to speak to a man who is described as being about 20 years old and of Asian in appearance.

NSW Police have released a computer generated image of the man they are looking for as well as an image of the tattoo described by the victim.

He is believed to have short or shaven dark hair and a tattoo on his right upper arm.

The man was wearing a black T-shirt at the time of the incident.
