Tara Reid kicked off flight for 'customer disturbance'
Just two months after a live interview in which her slurred speech sparked concerns, actress Tara Reid has made headlines for an incident aboard a Delta Air Lines flight Monday.
Both the airline and a representative for Tara, star of the Sharknado films and American Pie, confirmed to USA Today that she had been removed from a flight from Los Angeles to New York City.
Delta described it as a “customer disturbance,” while Tara’s rep declined to go into detail.
“Delta Flight 613 from Los Angeles to New York JFK-International returned to the gate, prior to takeoff, due to a customer disturbance on board,” a Delta spokesperson said in a statement.
“Delta apologizes to the remaining customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience as the situation was resolved,” the spokesperson said, adding that “the flight re-departed for New York following a short delay.”
Sources on the plane told TMZ that Tara — who flew out on a different flight later that day — complained about not being given a window seat or pillow.
The 42-year-old, who was travelling with her dog Beso, was also reportedly upset that the passenger in front of her had a reclined seat.
Video footage shot by another passenger shows a flight attendant trying to defuse the situation as Reid and her pet deplane.
Tara spoke to Radar Online, claiming she left the flight voluntarily after the airline wouldn’t allow her 6-month-old Yorkie to accompany her in her seat because the space was too small.
The actress has one fan in her corner: former reality star Linda Hogan, ex-wife of Hulk Hogan.
The Hogan Knows Best personality slammed Delta and accused its “bitchy jealous overworked nasty flight attendants” of punishing Tara for being “white and privileged.”
Well, that’s one theory.
