Sydneysider discovers terrifying creature in pair of pants

A Sydneysider was shocked to find a terrifying creature hiding in a pair of pants on the floor.

The southwest Sydney resident got out of the shower at the Camden home when they saw a wolf spider in the clothing just outside the bathroom.

The resident snapped the terrifying photo and sent it to animal experts at Wild, who uploaded the pictures to their Facebook page.

“At this point I think the house needs to be burnt down,” one commented.

“I would have honestly died from a heart attack,” another terrified person said.

Somebody else urged the resident to “just move out”.

Wild’s Kane Durrant told Yahoo7 News wolf spiders were common in the Camden area and were nocturnal and often lived in burrows.

“If you head out into a paddock and shine a torch you could find 100,” he said.

Mr Durrant said they were called wolf spiders because they were fast runners and would chase prey.

Wolf spiders are not usually harmful to humans but swelling from bites can last for more than a week. Mr Durrant said people could also be allergic to their venom which would cause more serious issues.
