A man has been charged with conspiracy to murder after he was extradited from Switzerland in connection with an east London shooting.

Stewart Ahearne, 46, of no fixed address, has been charged in connection with a shooting in Malvern Drive, Woodford Green, on 11 July 2019.

The 41-year-old victim has been left with serious, life-changing injuries after being gunned down.

Ahearne, who was extradited back to the UK on 21 March, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.

A second man has also been charged with conspiracy to murder in connection with the same incident.

Daniel Kelly, 46, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on 27 March.
