Stinger used in Swan Valley pursuit
Police used a stinger to stop a driver after he allegedly led them on a chase through the Swan Valley last night.
Police attempted to stop the 38-year-old Herne Hill man who was allegedly driving a Ford Falcon with false plates on Great Northern Highway at about 11pm.
The man allegedly failed to stop and led police on a chase through the Baskerville and Milledon areas.
Police used a stinger to stop the man at the intersection of Oakover Road and Railway Parade in Middle Swan.
The driver fled into a paddock where he was apprehended by police.
He has been charged with reckless driving, failing to stop, having no authority to drive and driving with a number plate not issued for that vehicle.
He is due to appear in Midland Magistrate's Court on April 4.
