Mobile strategy RPG Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is coming to PC soon. EA has announced that an enhanced port of the game is currently in development, with a closed beta arriving soon. Like the mobile version, the PC port will also be free-to-play, although it will require a specific launcher on the platform.

In a blog post on the game’s website, EA announced that the PC version will support higher resolutions, increased frame rate, keyboard and mouse support, anti-aliasing, and “other PC quality of life changes”. The PC port will also include cross-progression support with the mobile versions.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes launched in late 2015 and has been a modest success. On the App Store, it holds a 4.5-star rating with 213,000 reviews. On the Google Play Store, it has crossed a whopping 50 million downloads, with a 4.1-star rating from 1.7 million reviews. For a mobile strategy game, those are good numbers.

In Galaxy of Heroes, players compete in hologram battles with characters from across the franchise. Players can side with the Jedi or the Sith and lead raids with friends against iconic monsters like the Rancor. The game's latest April update adds Qui-Gon Jinn as the daily log-in unit, with multiple Omega events, assault battles, mythic events, and territory battles on the way.

Players can pick up characters outside the theatrical canon such as those from Knights of the Old Republic to create their guilds. The latest update allows players to gift bundles to their friends in the game.
