Spectacular parking fail sees car land on top of two caravans

A spectacular parking fail has seen a car somehow end up on top of two caravans and had people questioning how the driver got their licence.

A silver Hyundai ended up on top of two caravans at a showroom in the UK on Saturday, with emergency services being called just after 2pm.

Pictures of the driving mishap were shared by Glossop Fire Department on Facebook and the department said the incident happened while the driver was "trying to park in the car park".

One person on Facebook claimed they witnessed the incident and said they were just about to leave when "the car just came right out of the bushes" and onto the caravan.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service provided an aerial ladder platform to help free the driver and a rescue team from Staveley Fire Station helped with the extrication and stability of the vehicle.

Miraculously, no one was injured in the incident, with Glossop Fire Department saying "all persons safe and well".

The incident happened at Glossop Caravans, 20km east of Manchester, the BBC reported. The mishap reportedly resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damages.

While some were baffled by the incident — others who were familiar with the caravan showroom were not surprised by the incident.

"I'm surprised that this hasn't happened before, it's a stupid place to have the car park, it's really awkward to park in it," someone said on Facebook.

"It was much better years ago when the car park was just as you entered the gateway, but now it is crammed with caravans instead."

Someone laughed at the thought of those involved filling out insurance papers.

"Can’t remember the last time I was drunk enough to park my vehicle on the roof of a caravan," one person joked, though there was no indication the driver was under the influence.
