‘Special’: Tributes for allegedly murdered mum

Tara Marie Morrison’s body was found by police just after 8pm on Friday while they were conducting a welfare check at a home in the tourist town of Busselton, in Western Australia’s southwest.

James Anthony Sorgiovanni, 26, and Hannah Louise Glover, 28, have been charged with her murder and remanded in custody.

Ms Morrison’s body was discovered by police at a home on Bell Drive in Broadwater.

Police believe the alleged victim was known to Mr Sorgiovanni, but the exact nature of the relationship is unclear.

Writing on social media, Tammy Morrison said, “To everyone, the woman who tragically passed away was not just a 38-year-old woman, she was Tara Morrison, a loving mother who leaves behind an 11-year-old son.”

Ashleigh Carter said Ms Morrison’s death was a devastating loss and a tragedy.

“Tara Morrison, a mother, a friend, a daughter, a sister and a granddaughter, a really special individual,” she said.

“I wish this was never part of your story.”

Ms Carter said her friend had a wonderful way of lighting up the room and she was one of a kind.

“Your story doesn’t end here, you will live on through memories and in the hearts of each and every person who was blessed to have known and loved you,” she said.

Homicide detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw, or has dashcam vision of, a man and a woman holding a toddler and riding an e-scooter from Busselton to Margaret River between 6pm on Thursday, April 11 and 8pm on Friday, April 12.

Mr Sorgiovanni and Ms Glover appeared in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday charged with one count of murder each but did not enter a plea.

They are due to appear in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on May 29.
