Unbelievable footage of a BMW soaring six metres into the air before crashing into the road has been caught on security vision.

The video shows the luxury vehicle propelling into roadside barriers before becoming airborne.

Moments later, the vehicle rolled then crashed into the ceiling of the Börik tunnel, near Poprad in north-eastern Slovakia, before it bounced on the road.

Pictures shared by local police showed how the car was completely destroyed, however it was a miracle the 44-year-old driver and sole occupant was physically uninjured.

First responders examined the man at the scene and gave him the all-clear, The Express reported.

Police ruled out the driver being under the influence as he reportedly passed a breathalyser test at the scene, but they suggested he momentarily fell asleep at the wheel.
