School begs Facebook to remove viral video of young girl beating up male student
A social media comment may have sparked a vicious school fight, which saw a young girl knee a boy in the face.
The fight erupted at the Sonoma Valley High School in California on Thursday.
Video was quickly shared on Facebook and it has since been viewed more than 11 million times.
In the footage, a brown haired girl can be seen punching a boy as someone tries to hold her back.
Seconds later she can be seen throwing the boy to the ground and kneeing him in the head.
The girl is reportedly a student from another school on the same campus.
It’s believed a social media comment started the fight.
Sonoma Valley High School principal Kathleen Hawing said she was disappointed that the fight occurred.
The school asked Facebook to take the video down, but said the social network refused.
