Boy, 6, killed by reversing log truck driven by father
A six-year-old Tasmanian boy has been killed after he was struck by a reversing log truck driven by his father on Tasmania's east coast.
The boy's father had been backing up the truck laden with logs on Sunday in the yard of their Swansea home when he hit the boy who was behind the vehicle.
He was unable to be saved and declared dead at the scene.
Police said the 39-year-old man was not physically injured but was extremely distraught.
The incident is being investigated by Swansea Police.
