Rylan Clark struggled to keep down a piece of cow's stomach in the new episode of his BBC travel series.

Together with fellow TV star Rob Rinder, Clark continued his authentic Grand Tour by visiting what's considered to be "the jewel of the Renaissance", Florence.

Having worked up an appetite scaling the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the duo hunted down some of the local delicacies across the city. One of which was tripe.

"Part of experiencing the sensuality of the Grand Tour is also trying to eat the food," explained Rob to the camera. "We're talking about the real local stuff. Blokes eat liver and spleen and guts."

He then had a particular glint in his eye whilst ordering food for their table at one restaurant.

Presented with a plate of bovine innards, a visibly grossed-out Clark said: "Can I have a minute? I don't know if I can put this in my mouth Rob, I really don't know if I can. I think I'll be sick on the table."

The Celebrity Big Brother winner, who lived in that famous house 11 years ago, then complained about the texture of the meat before holding his nose and reluctantly chewing it. It was all very Bushtucker Trial.

Elsewhere on Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, the boys sampled the brutal Calcio Storico Fiorentino, a spectacle dating back to the 16th century that combines football, rugby and wrestling.

It was much more violent than they ever could've imagined though, with all 54 players knocking seven bells out of each other.

After that, the documentarians donned minimalistic Florentine garb to pose for a Renaissance-style painting.

Initially unsure that he wanted to strip down, Clark revealed how previous experiences had affected his body confidence. "I just feel like in my past I've been made to feel quite s*** by people... About everything. I've just got to not care," he said, not wanting to leave Rob on his own.

"I think people would think that I think I look good and I think this, and I think that, when actually it's the complete opposite. I just feel like I've got to be perfect and I'm not."

Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour resumes next Sunday (26 May) on BBC Two at 9pm.
