Russian forces launched a massive attack on energy infrastructure in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Lviv Oblasts, Deputy Head of Presidential Office Oleksiy Kuleba said on Telegram on April 11.

No casualties have been reported.

Kuleba emphasized that the situation in Kharkiv and the oblast remains the most difficult, stating, “The aggressor country is attempting to cripple Kharkiv’s infrastructure and plunge the city into darkness.”

More than 200,000 people have already been left without electricity due to power outages in the region.

Kharkiv’s subway continues to operate as a shelter, while power engineers and specialized services assess the aftermath of the Russian attack.

“Once again, the Russians have chosen to target utilities and electricity,” said Kuleba.

“We are taking measures to maintain operational networks, ensuring that people will have electricity despite the enemy’s assaults.”

The attack included suicide drones, cruise missiles from Tu-95MS aircraft, hypersonic Kinzhal missiles from MiG-31K, and guided missiles from Su-34 aircraft. Kharkiv and the surrounding oblast were struck at least ten times, leading to renewed challenges in electricity supply.

Lviv Oblast, particularly the city of Stryi, also faced heavy combined strikes. In Zaporizhzhya Oblast, a missile targeted an infrastructure facility, while in Kyiv Oblast, a critical infrastructure facility was similarly attacked and set ablaze, as reported by military administration.
