Russian forces seized the villages of Arkhanhelske and Kotlyarivka in the Pokrovsk district, Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk Oblast, and reached the administrative boundaries of the town of Ocheretyne, according to the updated war tracking map from DeepState monitoring portal.

The enemy has also advanced near Novopokrovsk, Umanske, Pervomaiske, and Krasnohorivka.

The update aligns with an earlier May 4 report of a Russian tactical advance northwest of Avdiivka near the village of Arkhanhelske made by the U.S.-based think tank Institute for the Study of War.
