Aussie entertainer Rhonda Burchmore has shared her frank opinion of fellow homegrown star Nicole Kidman, branding her a ‘flat-out diva’ on live TV.

The 59-year-old made the searing comments in Thursday night’s episode of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! while regaling her campmates with showbiz tales.

According to Rhonda, she and Oscar-winner Nicole attended the same acting school back in the day and at one point shared the same red, curly hairstyle.

“[Nicole’s] hair used to be like this,” she told Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby while running her hand through her locks.

Intrigued, British-born Charlotte asked what the Big Little Lies star was like in real life.

“Beautiful,” Rhonda responded without hesitation.

But when pressed by Charlotte to reveal if the 52-year-old was a ‘lovely person’ or not, Rhonda pretended to shrug off the question for a moment before spilling the beans.

The homegrown A-lister’s behaviour on set of Baz Lurhman’s 2008 film Australia left much to be desired, Rhonda was able to reveal, despite not being attached to the project.

“She was doing the movie Australia… [And] she used to complain about the blowflies and the cows mooing,” the leggy actor/dancer/singer claimed with an eye roll.

“‘Someone make those cows stop mooing’,” she drawled by way of mimicking Nic.

“So she’s a flat-out diva?” ex-AFL player Dale Thomas stated prompting Rhonda to nod in agreement.

“She’s flat out,” she confirmed.

Nicole vs Rhonda

Rhonda’s searing remarks about one of the country’s biggest exports have sparked a debate online, with fans of both women taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Sydney-born actor Jacqueline McKenzie - who, like Rhonda, had a short stint on TV show Love Child - tweeted out in defence of Nicole.

“I've never heard a bad word said of #NicoleKidman from those who worked with her. She is absolutely adored, cast and crew alike. That must have been a very bad day on the set of #Australia LOL #goddess,” the Deep Blue Sea star wrote.

“Probably jealous of Nicole,” suggested another.

“I thought Rhonda was a bit more classier than gossip girl .. lost my vote,” remarked one.

“Guess #CelebRhonda won't be working with Nicole again,” another joked.

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! airs 7.30 pm Sunday to Thursday on 10.
