Restaurant owner's hunt for customers accused of dine and dash
A Western Australian restaurant is appealing for help claiming it has been the victim of dine and dashers.
Malai Ann Kanthong, who owns and manages Thai By The Sea Restaurant, in Rockingham south of Perth, wrote on Facebook appealing for assistance on Friday.
“It saddens us to have to do this but it seems some people have no respect or care for how hard we work to run a successful business,” Ms Kanthong wrote.
“We would appreciate if anyone could help us identify these people.”
Ms Kanthong alleges the group ordered $150 worth of food and drinks before “running off” without paying.
She also included CCTV of the group allegedly dining and dashing about 7.10pm.
The group made up of two men and two women are seen standing up from their table before walking off outside.
A WA Police spokesman confirmed the incident has been reported to police with an investigation ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the online reporting page.
