Record haul of meth imported into Australia in cowhides
More than 750 kilograms of the drug ice has been found stashed in frozen cowhides arriving in Australia from Mexico.
A Mexican man, 42, is due to face Melbourne Magistrates Courts on Thursday charged with attempted importation of 755kg of methamphetamines after police executed two search warrants in St Kilda on Wednesday.
The Australian Federal Police and the Australian Border Force made the largest seizure of ice from Mexico to arrive on Australian soil when it arrived in Sydney on August 10.
