Boy, one, taken from Queensland hospital by man and woman

A one-year-old boy with a medical condition has been taken from a Queensland hospital, according to police.

In a statement Queensland Police said the child required medical attention and was taken by a man and woman known to him.

Police are seeking public assistance to help find the boy after he was removed from the Gold Coast University Hospital on Thursday around 3.30pm.

A 30-year-old man and 35-year-old woman reportedly left the hospital with the one-year-old patient and his two-year-old brother.

The man is described as Caucasian, about 190cm tall with blonde/light brown hair, blue eyes, proportionate build and distinctive tattoos on his face.

The woman is described as Caucasian, about 165cm tall and was last seen with distinctive red hair.

The two-year-old boy has blonde hair.

Police believe they may be travelling in a white Kia Cerato similar to the one pictured here, with Queensland registration 325XMV.

The boys are known to the man and woman and police said they hold serious concerns for their well-being.
