WATCH: Gold Coast man mowed down in sickening road rage attack
A Gold Coast man has been mowed down in a shocking road rage attack in Coomera overnight.
The man in his 50s has undergone emergency surgery at the University Hospital.
CCTV obtained exclusively by 7 News shows the driver accelerate towards the man, mowing him to the ground.
The violent neighbourhood dispute started over a go-cart, when the frustrated man confronted a group on Forest Oak Drive, complaining the kart was making too much noise.
He left, only to return moments later in a four-wheel-drive.
Waiting for the man to approach the vehicle, the driver rammed him to the ground before trying to take down a second person.
Detectives say they driver claims it was all just an accident.
Investigations are continuing but officers say it’s unlikely the driver will eb charged.
