Person stabbed in chest at Queensland school

A parent has reportedly been stabbed in the chest and hand during a violent confrontation at a primary school in Queensland.

Emergency crews were called to Wynnum State School around 2.40pm (AEST) on Wednesday after an argument reportedly broke out between two men in a carpark.

Police say the incident was witnessed by students leaving class for the day.

The victim, confirmed to be a man in his 40s, has been taken to the PA hospital in Woolongabba in a serious condition.

He was treated by Critical Care paramedics while he was being transported.

A second man has been taken into custody by police.
