RBWH Walk like an Egyptian

RBWH Walk like an Egyptian

It’s time to escape to the land of the Pharaohs and help raise funds to advance medical research at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) by booking your tickets to the 2014 Right Royal ‘Egyptian’ Affair.

This annual gala has developed a reputation for its outstanding entertainment, theming and food. Even senior staff at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) have rated past Right Royal Affairs as "some of the best events held at the Centre since it opened in 1995."

This year’s Right Royal Affair will be held at BCEC on Saturday 21 June and it once again promises to be an extravagant night bursting with colour, exotic food, entertainment and dancing..all in the Egyptian theme.

Since the Right Royal Affair began in 2008, over $1 million has been raised for medical research at RBWH - money which has had a significant impact on our research capacity. To date, just some of the research projects which have been funded by monies raised through the night include neuroimaging biomarkers for motor neurone disease and improving diagnostic methods in patients with Parkinson's disease.

Tickets to the Right Royal Affair are $200 each and include a three-course meal, five-hour beverage package plus pre-dinner drinks, and an amazing line-up of non-stop entertainment. To raise additional funds for the hospital, there will also be a range of exciting live and silent auction items. Plus, one lucky guest at the Right Royal Affair will win an all new Mercedes Benz A-Class in an exclusive raffle to be drawn on the night.

The event has sold out in previous years, so make sure you get in early to secure your tickets. Book now by calling the Foundation on 07 3646 7588 or visiting the website.
