Fatal stolen motorcyle crash

A man has died after a hit and run accident involving two stolen motorbikes in Sunnybank this morning.

At 2.10am Police arrived at the crash site on Lester Street where they found a man with life threatening injuries and two damaged motorcycles.

The man later died at Princess Alexandra Hospital from his injuries.

The other rider fled the scene before Police arrived. He has not yet been located.

Investigations revealed both motorcycles were stolen, one from South Toowoomba on July 15 and the other was reported stolen from Mundingburra in 2010.

It is suspected the pair were involved in possible street racing.

Police are appealing anyone who witnessed the crash or moments leading up to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
