Trapped man freed from excavator
A man has been freed from an excavator that fell onto a truck at Wakerley on Brisbane's bayside.
The 22-year-old had been stuck inside the cab for almost three hours before emergency services were able to release him from "severe entrapment".
It is understood the man was driving the excavator, carrying something heavy before it toppled onto a semi-trailer.
Throughout the ordeal the man had virtually no room inside the cabin, prompting his condition to gradually deteriorate.
Paramedics were able to reach the man during his time inside the excavator, giving him fluids and pain relief.
The man has suffered arm injuries.
