Princess dies a month after tragic motorcyle crash

A French princess has died a month after she went into a coma following a tragic motorcycle crash.

Princess Hermine de Clermont-Tonnerre, 54, died on July 3, with her family confirming the princess’s death to French magazine Point de Vue.

Her family told the publication she had a joy and kindness that would not be forgotten.

It’s not clear what caused the accident but she had been in a coma since June 1.

Her funeral was held at Saint-Pierre de Montmartre church in Paris.

The princess leaves behind her ex-husband Alistair Cuddeford and their two children Allegra and Calixte.

Mr Cuddeford told Voici, “The ten years that I spent with her were the best of my life”.

"She brought light and joy wherever she went,” he said.
