Police search for trio following Bunnings axe robbery

Bunnings Warehouse staff were allegedly threatened after confronting a man who had attempted to steal from a store on Sunday.

Two men and a woman entered the shop on Dalton Drive at Maroochydore at about 8.30am, where it is alleged one man concealed an axe, and the other man concealed a radio and tried to leave without paying.

Staff confronted one of them as he was leaving and he handed over the radio, police allege.

The other man was challenged about the property by staff after he returned to a vehicle in the car park, when he allegedly threatened both male employees and produced the axe.

On Monday police released images of three people who may be able to help with investigations into the robbery.
