Peckham murder: CCTV footage of car may help police track down killer

Footage which may help track down the murderer of Julian Ebanks-Ford in Peckham has been released by detectives.

The driver of the car in the video, which was on Kender Street where the 20-year-old was fatally stabbed, may have witnessed the events unfold and could hold crucial information, Scotland Yard believes.

The attack took place in the early hours of August 4.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood from the Met’s Homicide Investigation Team leads the investigation and said: “We have issued CCTV footage from Kender Street which shows a small white car, possibly a Smart car, who we think would have seen a significant part of this incident.

“It is possible that the driver and anyone else inside the vehicle are witnesses to this incident and I can reassure them they will receive all the support they require should they come forward to speak to us.

“The car had turned into Kender Street from Queens Road and came to abrupt stop as Julian and the suspect ran across in front of the vehicle.”
