Suspicious package shuts down Parramatta CBD
A suspicious package shut down Parramatta CBD on Monday morning.
A large scale police operation saw access to the Westfield shopping centre and parts of the train station blocked off.
The operation has since drawn to a close with a police spokeswoman confirming that the package posed no threat.
Sydney Trains said the operation had impacted the T1 Western Line, Blue Mountains Line and T5 Cumberland Line between Harris Park and Westmead.
"Passengers should allow plenty of extra travel time on these lines, make alternative arrangements or delay travel. Passengers already travelling should also listen to announcements and check indicator boards."
All roads have since been reopened.
