Support for email initiative
Esperance businesses are looking at setting up an email list to warn each other of shoplifting activities.
The move was suggested by McCreeds Classique Jewellers staff member Wayne Karger.
“Shoplifters normally hit two or three shops on the run,” Mr Karger said.
“So if the first shop emails other local businesses immediately, hopefully we can lower the rates of shoplifting in Esperance.”
The Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry is inviting all local businesses to be part of the incident notification mail list.
