Baltimore cop bites man on testicles

Giving the police a mouthful is rarely a good idea.

It’s an even worse idea when you’re straddling an allegedly drunken off-duty officer who has a healthy set of chompers on him.

So begins the latest, and possibly most ridiculous, tale of America’s increasingly rocky relationship with those who have sworn to serve and protect the populace.

An Anne Arundel County, Maryland, police officer is facing charges after a wild back alley brawl in Baltimore, which led him to bite a man on the testicles.

The Washington Post reports Cpl. Michael Flaig, 31, was celebrating Cinco De Mayo in when he became involved in a fight behind Looney’s Pub.

According to witnesses, the fight started when a man asked Flaig to stop rubbing up against his female roommate.

The man then became upset when he saw a woman with whom he had an on-again-off-again relationship with another man. He decided to go home.

According to reports Flaig allegedly attacked him as he walked away from Looney’s Pub. The man got the best of Flaig and straddled him across the chest as he lay on the ground.

And this is when Flaig deployed the bite felt around the world, attacking with the only weapon at his disposal – his teeth – aimed squarely at the closest body part to said teeth, the unfortunate gentleman’s family jewels.

More police were called to the scene and Flaig was arrested after officers discovered him upstairs with bloodstains on his shirt.

Flaig was allegedly intoxicated at the time of brawl.

"These charges are disturbing and we have an obligation as police officers to conduct ourselves in a professional manner on and off-duty," Anne Arundel County Chief of Police Timothy J. Altomare said in a statement.
