The teenager remains in Westmead Hospital and has been listed as critical but stable after being knifed in the chest.
The teen managed to reach a medical centre near the Westpoint Shopping Centre in Blacktown in the moments after the broad-daylight attack.
Paramedics arrived to find the teenager in a critical condition and losing a lot of blood before rushing him to hospital.
