Australian woman who ditched $100,000 job asks strangers to fund new life in the US
A young Sydney woman who quit her $100,000 a year marketing job on a whim is now asking strangers to pay for her Green Card so she can become a lifestyle coach in America.
From the outside Claire Morgan said she seemingly had the perfect life but an internal crisis at age 29 saw her throw it all away.
“I was making close to six figures in my late 20s, had the boyfriend, the great job title, and a beautiful apartment in the heart of Sydney and everything looked great,” she said in a 14-minute video on her GoFundMe page.
Unmotivated and miserable, she booked a trip to Bali where she “transformed” herself before she came back on a mission to “pull everything apart”.
“I walked away from my job... broke up with my boyfriend and let go of a few people I was close to in my life.
“I packed up my bags, ended my lease, sold all my stuff and I felt called to go to LA.”
Now based in Los Angeles with no ability to legally earn an income, Ms Morgan said she is still spending like she is on a near six-figure salary and needs the public’s help to come up with the $4000 for a Green Card.
Dear Mr President @realDonaldTrump,
I'm fundraising for my green card: https://t.co/Jdn7hsfhAP

“The reality of the situation is, I still spent what I earned.”
“During my time in LA I have not done any cash work or received money illegally, even though there have been plenty of opportunities."
While the aspiring life and nutrition coach has already raised $2000, she does have a back-up plan in place, tweeting her video to President Trump every day.
