AVO lodged against Sydney Roosters star Shaun Kenny-Dowall

Sydney Roosters star Shaun Kenny-Dowall has become the subject of an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) application, which was lodged overnight by his ex-partner, Jessica Peris.

Peris, the daughter of former Olympian turned Federal senator Nova Peris, attended Maroubra Police Station late last night to apply for the AVO.

The pair split about three weeks ago, after living together in Sydney’s eastern beaches for 18 months.

“An investigation is under way following a number of allegations that were made to police. It would be inappropriate to comment further,” a spokeswoman for NSW Police said.

Sources have confirmed Peris and Kenny-Dowall have since been in negotiations about a financial settlement to mark their end of their de-facto relationship. Peris has a child from a previous relationship.

The Roosters were made aware of the discussions and officials had been advising Kenny-Dowall. It’s also believed the NRL had been made aware of the situation several weeks ago.

Kenny-Dowall has continued to take to the field in that time and has been selected on the wing for Sunday’s clash against New Zealand at Allianz Stadium.
