Road rage on the rise

Seven in 10 drivers in New South Wales and the A.C.T. have been the victims of road rage in the past year, according to a new report.

The figures, obtained in a National Roads & Motorists’ Association survey of more than 1200 members, also showed that a child under the age of 15 was present at nearly a quarter of road rage incidents.

While plenty of people say they have been the victim of road rage, only around one in five motorists admitted to acting out by persistently leaning on the horn, making rude hand gestures and using abusive language against other road users.
