Australian war hero Mark Donaldson has enlisted in a new battle, helping diggers who struggle with post-war injuries.
The Victoria Cross recipient was named as patron of the Soldier On charity, which supports physically and psychologically wounded diggers.
"I think it beholds all of us, as Australians and the Australian public, to be able to support them as I stated before," Mark Donaldson VC said.
"It's just the right thing to do, we should look after them, cause they've looked after us."
More than 240 of our soldiers have been injured in Afghanistan.
