Mystery surrounds death of couple found in anaesthetist's home
Mystery surrounds the deaths of a couple found dead, with significant injuries, in the home of a Queensland anaesthetist.
Police first arrived at the suburban street around 9.30 Monday night after a triple-0 call led them to the horrifying find.
Inside the main bedroom of the Frenchville home, owned by anaesthetist Dr Andrew Carll, were the bodies of two people, aged in their 40s and 50s.
Both had significant injuries, but detectives remain tight-lipped on what they were and how they were caused.
Neither of the victims have been formally identified.
Neighbours and witnesses have been interviewed, and forensic officers have meticulously examined the scene, but what they’ve found remains a mystery.
“We were notified by a triple-0 call and obviously attended a short time later,” Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey told 7 News.
“All I can say is the investigation is ongoing, a crime scene has been declared and two people have been found deceased at that residence.
“It’s quite significant – the investigation we’re conducting at the moment.”
The home is expected to remain a crime scene for days, with homicide detectives sent from Brisbane to investigate.
While no arrests have been made, police also say they are not currently searching for a suspect.
