Mystery surrounds dad who disappeared without wallet, phone and keys

A woman has made a heartbreaking plea for her husband to come home after he disappeared three days ago with only “an umbrella, water bottle and the clothes on his back”.

Rose Miller, from Coomba Bay near Forster on the NSW Mid North Coast, said her husband Scott Taylor, 45, left their home on Tuesday without his car, house keys or wallet and never returned.

“On Tuesday morning, he ran out to the car telling me I forgot my coffee, then gave me and kiss and cuddle,” Ms Miller told Yahoo7 News.

“He then sent me a text while I was at work saying I needed to collect the children from school and to tell them, ‘I love them and this has nothing to do with them’.”

The mum-of-four said her husband had left items on the bench for her, including his phone, keys and wallet. The pair have been married for 15 years and have four children together – the youngest is five-years-old.

After his disappearance was reported to police by his wife, Mr Taylor was sighted at 6.45am on the Hume Highway in Mittagong – almost 400 kilometres from his Coomba Bay home.

Local police confirmed to Yahoo7 News he “presented healthy and well and there was no concern for welfare or threats for self harm,” so they let him continue on his way. He is no longer being considered a missing person by police.

Mr Taylor still appears on the Australian Missing Persons Register Facebook page, which says he was last seen in dark blue canvas joggers, tan shorts and a blue button-up shirt.

Ms Miller also made a series of Facebook posts, urging for her husband to get in contact for their children’s sake.

“We miss him and love him and want him home but would settle for just knowing he is safe,” Ms Miller said in her post.

“We can’t live without him. We can’t think, sleep, eat or live while our hearts and souls are this crushed.

“His babies are crying for him.”

Ms Miller’s post has been shared more than 400 times since it was written on Tuesday.
