Mystery as 12 puppies stolen

An investigation has been launched after 12 puppies were allegedly stolen from a pet playpen.

Detectives allege thieves forced their way into the Pine Mountain address on the Warrego Highway, southwest of Brisbane between 5.30pm on April 29 and 6am on Sunday.

Twelve puppies were allegedly stolen from a pet playpen, ranging from eight to nine weeks in age.

The puppies also range in breeds, including shoodles (shih-tsu x poodle), miniature fox terriers, a king charles cavalier and a blue fawn staffy.

Six of the stolen puppies were found by members of the public on Saturday night.

Three of the puppies, two shoodles and a mini foxie, were later found at a Raceview address on April 30.

Another puppy was found by another member of the public morning on Monday morning.

All 10 puppies located so far have been returned to their owner in Pine Mountain.

Two puppies, a king charles cavalier and a blue fawn staffy, are still missing.
