Mum walks in on teenage 'orgy' in Westfield parents' room

A repulsed Queensland mum has shared how she came across a "weird teenage orgy" in the parents' change room at a Westfield shopping centre.

Having to change her two-year-old daughter at Westfield North Lakes, Ashton Grohn entered the room near Woolworths at 1.30pm on Sunday, and was horrified with what she saw.

"I went to this change room today (Sunday) to change my daughter and walked in on what I can only describe as some weird orgy!" Ms Grohn said on the North Lakes Community group on Facebook. "Four teenagers having sex on the bench near the microwave and then moved into one of the breastfeeding cubicles!"

Once she realised "what was happening," the mother quickly left and went to another change room in the centre. "I threw my daughter, half dressed and the contents of my change bag into our trolley and left!"

The experience left Ms Grohn feeling "absolutely repulsed" and not wanting to return to a parents' room alone. "I honestly will NEVER be using the parents room without someone else with me. I reported to concierge and the girls were giggling about it! I’m so mad!" she said.

Ms Grohn said she reported the inappropriate incident to both Centre Management and Police, but urged parents to "be aware". "If you were in the centre near the parents' room at the time and remember seeing four teens (three female, one male, two females in a trolley), Police report number is 6922216," she said on the Facebook post.

Locals react on social media

The post garnered almost 100 comments, with many locals appalled with the teenagers.

"Omg! That is absolutely disgusting!" one person said.

"That’s f***ed up!!" said another. "That’s the only place us as parents can change/feed our kids, even to have a 5 second break."

"They actually should be charged!!! That’s a criminal offence, teens or not! Follow it up with centre management, this needs to stop, especially if they thought it was funny," a third person said.

Some also said the incident was a common occurrence, with one mother recounting their own experience.

"I’ve walked in on all sorts of teenagers in the breastfeeding rooms getting up to no good especially on Thursday nights," they said. "It’s disgusting how Westfield let them get away with it, something needs be done."

"Shocking, need security close by the change room," another piped in.

“And in nine months’ time they’ll probably be having to use those parents’ rooms for their babies,” a third person said.
